Red Cedar Bench with Steel Infinity Base

This rustic red cedar was salvaged from a group of fallen trees from the Huntsville Alabama tornado outbreak in 2011. This crafted bench would make a great addition to any patio or outdoor space. The piece represents a melding of rustic aged cedar and industrial steel beam construction. It is fabricated from thick gauge square tube forming a solid and sturdy infinity base which has been fully fusion welded and sealed/treated with a rugged diamond clear coating. The finishing offers the most extreme protection from the outside elements. The seating surface was meticulously planed and rough sanded and treated with multiple coatings of exterior grade spar varnish, wet sanded and then followed by polishing sequence to a produce a gloss sheen. The bench seat surface is 18" tall with the top measuring 12" wide to 14" at the ends and is 6-1/2 feet in length. Approximate weight of the bench is 100lb.
